trade marks and domain names

We are experienced at registering trade marks in Canada and the U.S., at managing Canadian and international trade mark portfolios, and at conducting, defending and appealing oppositions, protecting and challenging domain names and business names, and in conducting and defending actions in the federal courts and in the provincial courts relating to infringement and validity of registered trade marks and passing-off.

McMillan currently manages trade mark portfolios for leaders in the consumer goods, telecommunications, publishing, computer software, information management, document reproduction, financial and food services industries.  We are experienced in trade mark litigation, including infringement, validity and passing off actions, and appeals from trade mark oppositions and non-use rulings.

We developed our Matchmark® trade mark system to expedite the application, prosecution, maintenance and licensing of trade marks.
