Professional Experience Pat is a partner of McMillan in the firm's Financial Services Group. Pat practises in the business law area with a focus on corporate and commercial financing, asset-based lending, syndicated lending, mezzanine financing, private equity and securitization. Pat routinely acts for major financial institutions on domestic and cross-border transactions. Recent transactions include financings involving companies in the auto sector and technology/life sciences sector.

Pat also provides ongoing regulatory advice to domestic and foreign financial institutions carrying on business in Canada. Transactions including obtaining regulatory approvals in connection with the amalgamation of two Japanese Schedule II banks and the establishment of various financial service operations in Canada by foreign banks. Pat also works with finance companies in connection with consumer finance matters including providing advice in respect of wholesale and retail/leasing programs.
