Professional Activities

Michael Taylor is a key partner in the Securities Practice Group in McMillan's Vancouver office. He advises a broad range of technology, industrial and resource companies that are traded in Canada on the TSX and TSX Venture Exchanges, in the United States on the NYSE Amex Exchange and the OTC Bulletin Board, and in Hong Kong on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange Mainboard. Mike's experience over his 15 years of representing publicly traded companies includes:

  • advising on all stages of the "going public" process, from corporate organization through to public trading
  • completion of prospectus and private placement offerings under Canadian and U.S. securities laws
  • assisting issuers with ongoing continuous disclosure obligations under Canadian and U.S. securities laws
  • stock exchange listing applications and ongoing compliance with exchange listing regulations
  • completion of mergers, acquisitions and "reverse takeover" transactions
  • advising on corporate governance and Sarbanes-Oxley issues
