Professional Experience David Slan is a Partner of the firm, practicing in our Commercial Real Estate Section. His experience spans many aspects of Commercial Real Estate Law including the development, acquisition and disposition of retail, office, multi-residential and industrial properties and portfolios, including enclosed and unenclosed shopping centres, condominium and subdivision development, financings, refinancings, restructurings, mortgage enforcement and commercial leasing. David acts for developers of commercial, residential and multi-residential properties, home builders and national and international financial institutions.

David's experience extends to the creation and implementation of co-ownership, partnership, limited partnership and other joint venture structures for the acquisition and development of both income producing real estate and residential development projects of all types.

In the condominium and subdivision fields, David has acted for developers, builders and lenders on numerous projects, including standard high rise and low rise condominium projects, multi-phased, common elements and vacant land condominium projects and on the creation, acquisition, disposition and optioning of building lots. David's condominium practice extends to opinion work on condominium development and operational matters and advice to various governmental bodies on condominium law matters.

David has extensive experience in the area of real estate finance transactions, having acted for both borrowers and lenders on the financing of all types of income producing property, leasehold financing and land acquisition and development financing.
