Cheri is the Director, Corporate Services in the firm's Vancouver office. Prior to joining us in this role, Cheri practiced with us and with a Winnipeg business law firm, where she developed her expertise in corporate and commercial law, finance and real estate matters.
Cheri counsels corporate clients on a broad range of corporate and business-related matters including compliance with registration and reporting provisions required by provincial and federal regulators, internal reorganizations and dissolutions and financing transactions.
Much of Cheri's client counselling has been on behalf of companies in the natural resources sector. She has negotiated and drafted forestry-related agreements, advised on various matters involving day-to-day forestry operations, and made applications to the Ministry of Forests on behalf of forestry clients for the acquisition and sale of forestry products companies. Cheri has also acted for mining companies in the acquisition and sale of mining rights.
Cheri's real estate practice includes handling the financing, sale, acquisition, leasing and development of real property. She also has related experience in many aspects of environmental and municipal matters, including environmental assessments, environmental and municipal approvals for real estate projects and contaminated site remediation.
